Challenge: 

• The construction of 1206 residential units and 6 commercial shops in Singapore took place between 2019 and 2022. However, the project was hit by a significant delay during the COVID-19 pandemic. There was a significant delay in the delivery of Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBUs) that were cast in Malaysia and sent to Singapore. The Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBUs) that were eventually delivered required repairs, which led to a very rushed timeline for the architectural work, specifically tiling installation. Additionally, there was a tight timeline for material delivery, which added to the difficulties faced during the project.

Problem /Situation:

• We faced a significant challenge during our first private condominium project using Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBUs). The architect insisted on using fast-set tile adhesive, but we were unable to propose our normal-set tile adhesive to meet our customers’ price requirements. However, we persevered and overcame the challenge by introducing QUICSEAL tile adhesives. This required several rounds of meetings, mock-ups, and explanations to convince the architect. Our team’s unwavering dedication and attention to detail ensured the project’s overall success, setting a high bar for our future endeavors.
